What a Vavada promo code is and is not

A Vavada promo code is a short string that attaches a specific offer to your account. Unlike the welcome bonus, it does not reach every new customer automatically. You need the code, and you must enter it in the right place before the deadline.

You will also see the term "Vavada bonus code". It means the same thing: a code you enter in your profile or at deposit.

According to the terms as reviews summarise them, a code usually stands for one of three things:

• bonus spins in one named slot, with wagering applied to the winnings;
• a percentage bonus on the next deposit, with wagering applied to the bonus amount;
• entry into a tournament or promotion with its own prize pool.

The welcome bonus of 100% up to €1,000 is not among them. You choose it at the first deposit, and no code is needed. Searches for a "Vavada promo code" often end on pages that sell this standard bonus as a "code".

Where valid codes come from

The casino issues codes itself or through partners. Each has a sender, a deadline and usually a usage limit. There are three usual routes.

There are three places, and which fits depends on the type of code.

Why a Vavada promo code does not work

Messages such as "code invalid" or "code inactive" almost always have one of five causes.

• The code has expired. Promotional codes often run for only a few days.
• The usage limit is reached. Some codes are valid for a fixed number of redemptions across all players.
• The code belongs to another market. A code issued for other countries does not apply to your account.
• You already have an active bonus. Under the terms only one bonus runs at a time.
• The code was used on your account before. Each code can be redeemed once per player.

The fourth point is the important one. Cancelling a running bonus to enter a code loses the old bonus along with its winnings. Work out what you give up and what you get before you do it.

Code or welcome bonus: a worked example

The welcome bonus and a code compete for the same slot. The welcome bonus gives 100% on the first deposit up to €1,000, with wagering x35 of the bonus, a 14-day deadline and a maximum cashout from bonus winnings of x10 the bonus. Only slots count.

Take a €200 deposit. You receive a €200 bonus, and the wagering is 35 times €200, so €7,000 within 14 days. From bonus winnings at most ten times the bonus can be withdrawn, here €2,000.

A bonus spins code looks different. If you win €10 from the spins and the wagering is x20, you must wager €200. That is less play volume, but also a smaller starting value.

Lists of codes online

Anyone who searches the term finds long lists of supposedly current codes. Most of them do not work, or never did. Such lists exist to keep you on the page, not to get you a bonus.

Worse are pages that ask you to log in with them to "unlock" a code. A genuine code is entered only on the casino's own site, after signing in to your own account. Whoever asks for your username and password wants your account. The real Vavada support never asks for your password either.

Checklist before redeeming a code

A code cannot be taken back. Once activated, your account is tied to that bonus until the wagering is met or the deadline passes. A short check beforehand saves trouble.
